Today was the regional Science Bowl held at Berkeley Labs. Basically, we won only one round, because we were all sophomores, and most other people there were juniors and seniors. And one more year of science makes a big difference in the knowledge we have.
Here's a little time line of the day:
This is when I first got on the car.
Ms. Thibault's truck leaving the middle school drop off
Exiting the freeway to University Avenue
Checking in at the security gate
Getting a picture of the Bay Area from the parking lot
Taking a picture of the ventilation system, or I'll say "ATP Synthase"
Eating bagels for breakfast
Adding Tabasco Sauce, half and half, and soy sauce to orange juice
Playing cards, or "Studying for Bio"
Choosing the divisions, and blaming our representative if we get put into a bad division
The score board
A picture of Berkeley taken during the bye
Lunch
Another picture of Berkeley
Leaving the Lawrence Berkeley National Labratory
A bad picture of turkeys on the hill while leaving the lab
