Last Stretch of Junior Year Day 0

Yesterday, I was thinking about how I managed to write one blog post everyday while at COSMOS.  And I will never forget one of the most interesting days, my first day of class.  In general, I think I will eventually miss the mundane things I do in high school.  However, as of right now, I highly doubt I will miss the "stress" from junior.  Yeah, we all know what that means...SAT testing, AP testing and listening to all the seniors say what colleges they got accepted to.

My official comments will begin tomorrow, because I decided that the official series of blog posts will begin starting tomorrow, April 1.  But then I realized it's a no skill day, so I'm having this pre-post thingy.  I'll see how this turns out to be.

Gulf Air Airbus A340-300 in Egypt

I was looking in my downloads folder and I realized that I had downloaded an Airbus A340 last week and I forgot to install it.  So installed it and flew around Egypt.  I took off from Cairo and landed in Alexandria airport...even though the 7221 ft runway really isn't acceptable for such a large aircraft to land there...and Gulf Air doesn't even go to that airport. But I made a smooth landing and stopped about 1000 ft. short of the runway with minimal braking...because I touched down like at the very tip of the usable area.

All technicalities aside, enjoy the pictures.

Horizon Air Bombardier Dash 8 Q400 at Anchorage

Here's one of the best planes I've downloaded ever...this Bombardier Dash 8 Q400 developed by Premier Aircraft Design at http://www.premaircraft.com.  Here are a few pictures of the plane in Ted Stevens Anchorage International Airport.  I was trying to produce a quick movie to show the plane idling on at the gate, but Windows Movie Maker basically stopped working.  So here some screenshots I got of the plane.

Alaska Airlines Boeing 737 Flying over Sierra Nevada

I basically was searching around on www.flightsim.com for some scenery, and I found some for Yosemite and the Sierra Nevada surrounding the area.  Basically I tried to fly over the area I installed, but I couldn't really find it, so I basically just got a couple of generic pictures with the default scenery.

FSX United Airlines Boeing 747 at KSFO

This is the first time I ever attached the jet to a jetway at an airport.  But then again, I wasn't capable of rendering so much detail at airports.
